LMS is running.

I finally found out why LMS stops working
LMS replies with the wrong location url. It sets the IP to 0.0.0.0.
Setting the IP of the server in the SLim/Plugin/UPnP/Discovery.pm
manually solves the problem.

How else would you expect to see a list of artists? I'd say the problem is more
likely with a poor client interface. I've seen some shockingly bad DLNA
browsers out there...

Ok, so my files are ok.
The scanner doesn't pick them up but it does scan the files, just
doesn't inventory them as video. They odd time it will pickup one
file, but it isn't playable on the client side. Same video is playable
on the client side using twonky.
Any ideas?

The only difference between it and /shares/Public/Shared Music is that
Shared Videos has m2ts files and Shared Music has mp3 files.
The mp3 files are added and I can play them on my upnp client.

Could also be a 32-bit file size issue too, in that case. You might find it
works with a smaller file.

OK, maybe I can verify that. I have a 4.5 GB .mkv file. XBMC connected
to LMS shows it as being 378.9 MB in size, and if I fast forward
through it, it cuts out at about 12 minutes into a 1:41:00 movie.
I thought I'd give RC3 a try on my laptop but not had much success.
I pointed LMS at \\server1\server data\videos\ where I have several
dozen half-hour long VOBs ripped from DVD using DVDFab. They play just
fine using TVersity as the server and they don't need transcoding.

I didn't do anything special for IP binding, so I am not sure.
Has this been addressed yet? (Sorry, I haven't read through the whole

Once 7.7 is officially released, does the Upnp/DLNA compliance mean,
that I can stream music from my Upnp/DLNA compliant NAS drive directly

No. It means that your 7.7 server can feed other DLNA clients.
