A quick tip--- You can right click on a reference listed in the main table to get a choice of what to drag and drop---the formatted reference is one thing you can get. But if you are not a LaTeX user this might not help. The next place to look is on the wiki for help with export templates,

You should realize that BibDesk is designed to work with bibtex, so much of the support is geared to that. THere is no direct support for Word. However you can drag and copy templated citations instead of the (standard) latex \cite's. You can choose the style that's dragged and copied in th

where can I find a tutorial? I've read the BibTex intro but I still cannot figure out how to use bibdesk with word. As I write I drag and drop citations, so all I have is this weird cite keys \citeauthor{ISI:00025715335} how to transform this into a proper reference for example harvard style?
