Provincial Park. It was foraging along the margin of a small pond in some of

To my knowledge, the Black-backed Woodpecker was not seen today in Serena
Gundy Park. I met Harry Kerr shortly after 3:00 and he mentioned that many
had tried, but no one had succeeded to find it. I searched the entire area
from both washrooms, river, all slopes and had no success. I

After an absence of two weeks, Redpolls returned en masse to my backyard
today, with up to 60 around the niger feeders at a time and several hundred
in the general area; I assume that these wintered further south and are now
heading through Ottawa on their way north. Among them was one exillepes
