Eastern kingbirds, Least flycatchers, Eastern phoebe, Woodcock, Snipe, Caspian
and Common terns are all being observed daily in the area. There are a few
beautiful Rough-legged hawks still hanging around.
There is a Blue Grosbeak in the vicinity of Maple Square Mall in Port Elgin.

I've been asked to be more specific on the grosbeak: adult male, larger than a
bunting, heavy bill, dark mask, chestnut wing bars. Last observed moving
through the hedges in a southerly direction. Try checking between Eugenie
Street and the soccer fields a couple of blocks to the south.
Point Pelee Park Bird Report May 14
Skies and winds were still from the south, and a sudden downpour at the tip
this morning. Although it is clearing, more rain is predicted.
At the tip today, a male Dickcissel was on the east side of the loop woods, on
the beach. A fairly large group of
Thursday and Friday / May 13 14 at Thickson's Woods in southeast Whitby
have been slow birdwise, but some good birds are being seen, particularly
along the car-park roadside and just inside the woods.
Among today's warblers were Canada, Magnolia, Blackburnian, Blue-winged,
Black-throated Blue
Margaret Bain found a male Kentucky Warbler in the centre of the woods. It
was not singing, but chipped loudly periodically. It was on the ground and
walking along logs under chokecherries perhaps 50 metres northeast of the
sightings book.

On Wednesday, 12 May, in the morning, Alain Réjean heard, and then found, a
Hooded Warbler. Eventually, everyone at the station had a good and long view
of this splendid male. The observation was made at the research station of
the Bruce Peninsula Bird Observatory,at Cabot Head, on the

Rondeau Daily Report May14/04
The morning at Rondeau was one of the quietest this month, yet some good birds
were found An Acadian Flycatcher was singing on Harrison Road just north of
the Visitor Centre, a Kentucky Warbler was on the Tulip Tree Trail and a Yellow-
throated Warbler (possibly
I have just received a report that both a male and female Lark Bunting have
been seen approximately 3 miles south of Perth. Unfortunately the birds
have not been seen for the last 2 days, and the owners of the feeders where
seen do not want visitors, which is why I have just got the report.
Thanks to Denis Lepage who found a Lightner Road in Ohio at Port
Clinton, which is on Sandusky Bay. Also, the birds were originally
reported to us by Ohio people, AND a check of the Ohio Rare Bird Alerts
show that White-faced Ibis are being reported there. So for the time
being Ontario birders
