Birders,
Yesterday afternoon, my brothers and I observed a YELLOW BILLED CUCKOO in
the woods behind our house.
Other species of note(today and yesterday) were: Northern Parula, Swainson's
thrush, Hermit thrush, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, White-,& Red-breasted nuthatch,
Dark-eyed juncos, Chipping
My husband and son called to ask me to post that they found an ADULT
CALIFORNIA GULL at Wheatley Harbour, near Point Pelee. They had the bird on
the westerly concrete wall at the mouth of the harbour. They watched and

The weather in Ottawa, Ontario was great again today. I decided to take a
quick trip to Casselman to have another look at the Cattle Egret. I arrived
there after 12:30pm. The Cattle Egret was once again found feeding near the

Today at 1200 an adult female Rough-legged Hawk(light Phased) was observed by
myself for 10 minutes as it lazily circled Southward.It was observed near the
intersection of the 20th Sideroad and the 2nd Line of Innisfil.
It was heading Due South , apparenly not wanting to Stop.
