Good Afternoon
Today Diane Hasley joined me as I walked The Islands. Migration has again
slowed down there for most species but some like the B. Orioles and R-B
Grosbeaks have increased.
Following are some species seen by Diane and I.

Hello Ontbirders.
The Prairie Warbler reported this morning was present in the vicinity of
Harrison trail near the Pony Barn from about 9:30 am to at least mid-afternoon.
Other good warblers seen today included a Blue-winged Warbler in the same
area, a Northern Parula on Spicebush Trail and
I haven't seen any reports on the Ruff today, so i just thought i would confirm
it was still present this morning.
Observed the Ruff (male in breeding plumage) off Britannia Rd. on the floods
nearest 8th line at 6:20am with a couple of other early birders. The bird did

There were lots of migrants recorded on the island today by a variety of
observers and many new arrivals were reported. While activity was light at Fish
Point in the morning, 5 Willets were noted at the tip.
At least twenty-three warbler species were found including KENTUCKY, CERULEAN
and ‘B
Birders,
A Pileated Woodpecker flew over the the east bound and west bound 401 heading
north near the 203 exit(Alymer). This is defiantly a rare site for this
"southern boy"!

Hi all.
The Ruff was still beautifully present today just northeast of the
intersection of Britannia Road and the 8th Line. He was seen at 6:30 a.m.,
then retired to the northeast for awhile, and reappeared at about 9:00 a.m.,

Hello Ontbirders.
Highlight of our morning here at Rondeau was a Prairie Warbler seen along
the road between the Maintenance Loop and the Pony Barn. A Hooded Warbler was
also observed near the Pony Barn. On the Maintenance Loop, a Summer Tanager
also put in an appearance.

Hi All,
The Ruff was located this morning around 9:00am at the back (north)
flooded field 500 meters from Britannia road. It soon flew into the
flooded field beside Britannia road and spent most of the day there.
Feeding and dozing at half hour intervals. It would return to the same

sightings including at least three NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRDS, increased numbers of
ORCHARD ORIOLES, and a small selection of other early-May migrants.

Point Trail included 2 White-eyed Vireos, a Blue-winged Warbler, a Red-headed
