Hi,
Further to Brian Morin's post, I would estimate that 10,000 to 15,000
Snow Geese (inc a smattering of blues) flew overhead eastwards along
Cedar Grove Road, northeast of Williamstown between 11 a.m. and noon.
This is one concession north of where Brian reported thousands of birds.

I saw 300-400 Tundra Swans in the fields and air around the Townsend
Sewage Lagoons this afternoon at 5 pm. The only Swans in the Long Point
area were in Long Point Bay visible from Long Point end of the Causeway.

My final tally for the day was 26,000 over Cornwall. Another 6-7000 were
reported earlier in the morning near Ingleside and because of the timing
they weren't part of these flocks. The two-day total stands at well over
60,000 in the region and we almost certainly missed a few tens of
thousands. No
Afraid I can't figure who is attempting to send this message but it
makes sense.
The tundra swans are here now 5-7000.

Dear Eagle Beagles,
No Golden Eagle sighting today, sorry. But today I returned to McKinnon

Juvenile Golden Eagle yesterday under virtually identical circumstances,
except it was traveling in the opposite direction. It was a

While birding Presqu'ile Prov. Park this morning, my wife and I were treated
to a two and and half hour fly past of northbound Canada Geese coming across

somewhere between 4000 to 5000 geese. A surprise among the Canada G

Just had another massive flight heading east. High this morning in the
clear sky. There were about 17,000 passing over in longs strings and wavy
lines. There were also a few massed flocks of up to 1,200 birds. This was
in about 20 minutes up to noon. They are continuing to head east with more

Oshawa Second Marsh 8:50-9:20am
While enjoying my morning coffee at the Oshawa Second I realized quickly there
will be ALOT more geese in Ontario before dusk. 15 flocks containing 700+
Canada geese came across Lake Ontario in that time. At 9:02 in a flock of 112
geese was a Greater White-fron
This evening, while doing a check of the local lagoons, I had a single adult
Glaucous Gull. Slightly larger than the surrounding Herrings, lighter mantle
and pure white wing tips. It was very obvious, as well, while flying with
the flock of Herrings.
Also there, Common and Hooded mergs.
