There was a single adult Black-crowned Night-Heron in the TJ Dolan Natural Area
this morning. The bird was seen by everyone on the Stratford Field Naturalists
weekly outing. It was just west of the pedestrian bridge across the Avon. The
bridge is about 300 m west of the parking lot on John
Oshawa 2nd. marsh. The AW Pelican was seen today by myself many at the
South tip of the island across from the viewing platform. The time was 1:30
PM.

At 11:45 today (4 July) an albatross (not identified to species) flew
low over the parking lot between the smoke stack and the helicopter
pad at Kingston General Hospital near the end of Barrie Street at Lake
Ontario. The bird was at the lake shore, but flew over land the entire
time observed. The

Great view of a single American White Pelican flying above Cross (Lyell) Lake
on Saturday July 3rd. Stayed in sight for about 5- 10 minutes before flying
north. Cross Lake is halfway between Maynooth and Madawaska on Hwy 523.
