At 9:30 this morning I found 4 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS at Lemoine Point in Kingston. They were at the same location where I found crossbills on February 21st. which probably means they're hanging around the area. There were also 2 BARRED OWLS close by. You can view a photo at flickr.com/p

This morning I had a Barrow's Goldeneye in the Ottawa River at Petrie Island. He was hanging out with Common Goldeneyes. There were also some Common Mergansers. A little later I had a Northern Shrike in a small grove of trees just south of the corner of Trim Road and Springridge Drive. Directions:
