2-3 Bohemian Waxwings remain with a small group of 5-6 Cedar Waxwings in
Brighton. Today they were in crab-apple trees at the intersection of
Kingsley and Sanford Streets.
Brighton is well-signed south of Highway 401 exit 509.

Hello Birders,
Following up on the earlier Point Pelee Postings today, I walked Shuster Trail
at Point Pelee tonight and saw many great birds, including the Yellow breasted
Chat!
Some other birds seen in 1.5 hours:

Greetings: Well, the meeting was interesting. The councilor wishing to address
the concerns of the wetland and the "suspension"
of all permits CHANGED the original wording of tonight's agenda just before the
Council meeting this evening. He now wants to
address "safety and security issues".
Last evening and again this evening (sorry for late post but just got home)
there was a Ross's x Snow Goose on the Nexans property 670 Gzowski Street,
Fergus. The bird showed up last evening around 6:00pm and stayed for about
half an hour as it gets harassed by the nesting Canada Geese and then

Well today, was slightly different in terms of numbers and diversity. Nothing
seemed to have arrived on the island due to the rain, while nothing seemed to
have left. Diversity is still quite high, particularly for this time of year.

the book late this afternoon.
The NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported to have been seen at Muddy Creek yesterday
afternoon, so it's definitely worth keeping an eye open for it when birding in

alas and yes alack we did not hear it though we tried hard twice during the

Cell at Hillman Marsh today at 1200.

Shane Butnari and I are currently looking at a snowy egret at Big Creek in
Amherstburg. It is in a tree and can be seen from the corner of Creek Road and
C.R. 20. It is across the road from where last years white faced ibis was
hanging out, for those that saw that bird.

Yesterday at 11 am an adult Clay coloured sparrow showed up at my feeder along
with an adult Red headed woodpecker.
Directions: Take Hwy 19 south of Hwy 3 from Tillsonburg toward Port Burwell.
At Regional Road 45 turn left, heading east approx. 5 km to Regional R
