At 3:30pm today, I saw a large and chunky pure white gull swimming past
Thicksons Point from east to west about 50 meters from shore, at its closest

This evening while birding Stayner sewage lagoons I spotted and was able to
photograph a very photogenic Boreal Owl.
The bird was seen south of the sw cell on the walking trail leading south and
away from the lagoons. I was able to view the bird for about 20 minutes and
about 5:00 the bird flew

Sorry to be tardy on this sighting. I thought I would post anyways, even if its
just an odd wigeon.
Yesterday my Dad and I found an interesting female wigeon about a km east of
Selkirk Provincial Park. The bird was with a group of Mallards, Black Ducks, a
single Green-winged Tea
Those of you planning the trip to Cobourg should know that the birds reported
