Since my last update in early January, an additional six species have been
added to the 2013-2014 Ontario winter list bringing the total to 193. In the
six previous years an average of 204 species have been reported during the

p.m., when it flew strongly towards the houses to what I assume is south-west.

An unknown sex adult Short eared owl was spotted today being chased by an adult
male Marsh hawk near Port Rowan today at around 5:45 pm. The bird was last
seen perched on the Sinclair-Campbell Conservation Lands sign across from the
grey house (north side of road) with fire #2995. The sign is

One Pileated Woodpecker seen at 8:34am Major Mackenzie Drive and Leslie,
Richmond Hill Ont.. He flew into the trees behind the LCBO on the North West
Corner.
