This morning while strolling through the Fletcher Wildlife Garden in Ottawa, I flushed an American Woodcock.  The bird was foraging on limited bare ground beneath the large mature pine/spruce stand just north of the large feeder.  The bird was subsequently flushed several times by other passers-
