Birders,
At about 3:30 this afternoon, my Mom and I discovered a Laughing Gull
sitting on the Port Dover pier in the company of Ring-billed and Herring
Gulls. I was able to study it for about an hour before it eventually flew
East and likely landed somehere in the harbor, just East of the pier. Th

The water levels are partially down at Earl Rowe Park west of Alliston. At the
northwest end of the reservoir there are some mudflats at the point where the
river broaden’s into the reservoir and there are some small islands. The was
one Stilt Sandpiper there this morning and when I went back
With strong SW winds and rain overnight,with similar conditions continuing
nearly right until the trip started, I admit the outlook for the trip
looked a bit bleak. Nevertheless, nearly 40 faithful birders met this
morning at 8 AM at Hutch`s on the Beach for the annual Hamilton OFO trip.
Condition
About 40 birders are here watching it. We are on east side of rugby pitch about
200 meters north of south parking lot. This is just north of the waterfront
trail and just south of the southernmost buildings on a Humber campus.

Bird was found on our bird walk this morning.
It will only be here today on this branch. If you would like location because
you can make it out to see it please call me at number below, otherwise I would
rather not divulge location - similar to if it were an owl.

The total species reported by the more than 230 registrants for this
three-day weekend event (September 26-28) at Ottawa was 152. All but
one of the species (Caspian Tern on the Kingston field trip) were observed
in the Ottawa region. The previous OFO Convention at Ottawa in 2006 tallied
138 speci
