The Long-tailed Jaeger was still present when I left the site at 6:45 tonight.
It was then beeing viewed from Ormond Rd, just passed the first house, East of
Highway 31 at Harmony. Previously, it put up a great show, chasing gulls
occasionnally, flying low over the field, even

I opted to make a side trip on my way home from Peterborough this afternoon
and drop in at the Nonquon Sewage Lagoons. Water levels are high in all of
the lagoons and I had already resigned myself to the idea that it was a
wasted trip when I spotted a small whitish thing floating in the fourth

reported last Sunday — the bird was still present this morning, seen from
"Ottawa Beach". From 0730 - 0745, it flew past the beach a few times, then
settled on the river. I had good views using only binoculars.

Currie resurrected Linear Hawk Watch" organized by Tim McCarthy. They flew
low Holland Marsh's market gardens with 7 Black-bellied Plovers and 3
American Golden-Plovers just north of where I was counting raptors at
distances down to 40

I left the field after sunset at about 7:15pm. The long-tailed jaeger was the
only bird remaining in the field as two peregrines decided to land in the far
corner of the field, chasing off the gulls. The peregrines had left the area
before I started driving on my way back to Ottawa. I
