Hi Everyone
Both the Mountain Bluebird and Bullock’s Oriole continue at the previously
reported locations and the Smew was observed along the St. Lawrence River
between Ault Island and off Upper Canada Village. No reports of the Pink-footed
Goose today. There was a sizable flight of Snow Geese
Ontario Birders:
This afternoon my daughter and I posted directions with civic addresses to
help the many folks still looking for the Smew.
Please note that the small bay in question is easily visible from the
roadside. There is absolutely no need to trespass in any way on what is

Hi All,
Vermilion flycatcher was still present as of 1:15 today. It's been flying
around on the small shrub row and making a few trips to the fence line for
photos.
The home owners have asked that we do not walk into the grass pasture and
instead stay on the edge of the back yard.

Smew is currently on south side of Ault Island, visible in small sheltered
bay behind 13897 and 13901 Willbruck Drive.

We were able to relocate the Smew after Bruce's last sighting around 10:15
this morning. It was west of Ault Island best viewed off of the Battle of
Chrysler Farm Monument in Upper Canada Village. After watching it for about
five minutes it again flew east, around the southwest tip of

Merry Christmas Birders,
We saw a majestic Great Horned Owl on our way home from our family Christmas.
It was perched on the gin of a lone cedar tree in the open meadow, on the east
side of Wylie Road, just north of McNamee Road.
