A male Orchard Oriole was spotted in our garden, hanging out with three male
Baltimore Orioles! Also male and females Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and many
more...what a great week so far for birds in our Markham garden!

Highlight of OFO Pelee Island Weekend
The 24 participants of the OFO May 6 to 9 weekend outing to Pelee Island
under the leadership of Martin & Kathy Parker observed a total of 123
species of birds even through north winds persisted and it was a slow
migration.

tallied that I was made aware of. Highlights being 2 Brewster Warblers seen by
several people, and a Canada Warbler (blurry pic on ebird), that was seen
before lunch and still being seen in the same ar
I went to to Nonquon today. Nice day lots of waterfowl and several shorebirds.
But first I found 8 Black Terns – the first of the season for me.
Also present were 3 Killdeer, 1 Dunlin, 6 Spotted Sandpipers, 30+ Least
Sandpipers, 4 Greater Yellowlegs and 30+ Lesser yellowlegs.

An unpleasant day continues at rondeau, with seemingly limited bird
activity.
The White-winged Dove has been seen again today along Lakeshore Road south
of the Visitor Centre.
A Golden-winged Warbler was seen on Harrison Trail just south of the group

Good morning,
Cool, cloudy, windy and slightly damp conditions greeted visitors to the Park
this morning.
In spite of the weather conditions, bird activity has been slow but steady. A

For the most part birding is fairly slow at Rondeau today, but there are
some nice pockets of birds around, and at least 20 species of warblers have
been seen.
One worthwhile area to check is Bennett Rd, as well as Harrison Trail to
the south of here towards the group campground. Sp
