ONTBIRDS is presented
Hi all,
Posting for Andrea Kingsley who found and photographed an immature male King
Eider at the Ranney Suspension Bridge on the south side of Campbellford at
1100h. It was swimming just upstream from the bridge. This site is about 5 km
downstream from where the three females have been seen
The bird is visible from the boat launch or Summerfield Dr. There is also a
common Loon and Black Scoter and White winged Scoters.
The Murre has not been seen today to the best of my knowledge.
The Eared Grebe is being seen at township park on lake Dore.
Lesser Black backed and Iceland gulls
I did NOT see the Glossy Ibis in the Port Hope marsh this morning, but it has
flown away and returned at least once before.
If anyone does see it again, please post for us winter-listers.
Margaret.

the bird was perched in a tree at the intersection of Whitney Street and
Superior Street. After some time the
The Eiders are still here at 8:30. Visibility is poor due to fog. Birders are
welcome to observe from our property on the other side of the river from the
lock. 378 County Road 38across from the curling club. Cross the bridge in
Campbellford and turn north onto Front Street which becomes
I just relocated the bird. In the town of Michipicoten. On Google earth it is
at the intersection of Whitney Ave and Superior Street - walking around on the
lawn. More details to follow
Good birding,
Josh Vandermeulen
