I went looking for the Red Knot and did not see it. I did see a Dowitcher with a much longer bill and a dark line between bill and eye and a white eyebrow stripe that was rufous red and not salmon red. I believe it was a Long-Billed because what I saw looked like lighter barring on the

After some time we got close enough and the bird at Ashbridges we reported as this morning's Red Knot is a Dowitcher sp, most likely Short-billed. We have pictures on a camera we can send later. This does not mean there wasn't a Red Knot but our bird's bill was about twice as long as a Red Knot
