I am viewing a Pacific Loon from Guindon Park boat launch. I am looking SE
from the rocky shoreline just south of the boat ramp. The bird is quite far
out in choppier water.
Directions: from highway 2 (Vincent Massey Dr) turn onto Trilium Drive.

Well over 100 birders joined Marcie Jacklin, Jeremy Bensette and I for the
annual OFO gull trip along the Niagara River yesterday, December 3, 2017. We
were treated to beautiful weather conditions - nearly 10 degrees, sunny and
calm - and a wide variety of interesting birds were seen, including
The Brant continues to be seen at the beach area immediately to the west of the
paved parking lot at Crystal Beach Waterfront Park.

This trip will start from the parking lot at the end of Dock Road in Barrie at
9 am. To reach Dock Road from Hy 400 North take Mapleviiew Drive East to Yonge
Street North. Turn left on to Yonge and go to Cox Mill Road. Turn right on Cox
Mill Road and turn right on to Dock Road.
