Although it doesn't feel like spring has really arrived to stay, the Blenheim
Sewage Lagoons have been ice-free for awhile now, and there is a good
smattering of waterbirds present most of the time. It is hopefully just a short

the base of the pier that sticks out into Lake Erie, at Erieau in the
municipality of Chatham-Kent.

The 39th St. Clair National Wildlife Area Christmas Bird Count was held on Jan
1, 2019. The weather started out just above freezing and by the end of the day,

The Great Kiskadee was seen in various places today, as per some of the earlier
OntBird posts. Several birders watched and waited for about 2 hours at the
south end of the maintenance compound this morning, hoping the bird would show
up in the same vicinity where it was last seen yeste

afternoon along the north end of the Marsh Trail of Rondeau. I saw it briefly
at 3 p.m. and it disappeared for exactly an hour, whereupon it put on a decent

continued to be seen throughout the afternoon to at least 5 p.m. There are a
number of shorebirds present as well, including Red Knot.

The White-winged Dove found on Saturday, April 7, by Jim Burk and Steve
Charbonneau continues. It has been seen by various birders, and was still
around this morning. Given its behaviour of the last couple of years, it will
likely be around for awhile, but one never knows.
