The Neotropic Cormorant is still present. Several eBirders have reported it at Cranberry Marsh today (best viewed from viewing platform at south end of roadway from Lynne Shores parking lot -- parking fees in effect) in the morning and early afternoon. I found it on the west breakwall at Whitby

[Ontbirds] Nelsons Sparrow, Long-tailed Duck, Ottawa

Nick Escott and I birded along the Ottawa River today. A male Long-tailed Duck was mid-river just south of Britannia water treatment plant. We then found a Nelson's Sparrow in long weeds/grass beside the river near the NE end of Andrew Haydon Park. Both spots are about 10 km west of Ottawa
