A Barnacle goose appeared in flight at the same location, but the entire flock
flushed and headed west. They have not come in to the Giroux road ponds.

I was able to re-find the previously reported Western Grebe at Rattray Marsh
this morning. I observed it from the west side of Jack Darling Park, amongst a
large group of Red-necked Grebes.

The Slaty-backed Gull found yesterday continues at the Windsor-Essex Solid
Waste Authority Landfill. We had it from 11:45 until we left at 1:45. It is in

The Reddish Egret is still present. Entering Oliphant via Oliphant Way, turn
right onto Shoreline Avenue. The bird has been in several locations around the
bay.

recommended.
Directions: Take Eastport Drive south from the Burlington Lift Bridge, entrance
is on the right side before Beach Blvd.

When I left 10 minutes ago the Tufted Duck was reasonably close to shore in a
large raft of diving ducks. You can reach Cliff Lumsden park by traveling south
on seventh street from Lake shore Blvd West.

Owen Yates called to say he has a probable Hudsonian Godwit on Woodbine Beach
at Ashbridges Bay Park in Toronto.
Directions: Ashbridges Bay Park is at the foot of Coxwell Avenue, south of Lake
Shore Boulevard East.

Hello Birders,
I found an adult Laughing Gull on the rocks outside of the harbour. The thunder
from the approaching storm is frequently flushing the gulls, and the bird is
not currently in sight.
Wheatley Harbour is located at the south end of Erie Street in Wheatley.

A group of 9 people are currently seeing the Blue Grosbeak at the previously
reported location. It is high in trees along the west edge of the more open
savannah habitat. See below for directions.

The juvenile Yellow-crowned Night-Heron was present and out in the open along
the shore of the pond from 3-3:45 p.m. today. Also present was a nearby
juvenile Black-crowned Night-Heron for convenient comparison. They were in view
from the lake shore trail and the viewing platform.
