Just a heads up for those in the Haliburton Village, Head Lake area as I just
had two Bald Eagle going over my yard flying very high. The first was approx.
10:30 being chased by a crow, saw too late for photo and this one circled

On Friday, Jan 31st, 2014, after 1500, 6 bald eagles (4 adults & 2 juveniles)
were viewed for 2 hrs sitting, flying and fighting on the river ice, no closer
than 200 yds straight out from the rest area located on St. Clair Pkwy
immediately north of Corunna, On., south of the Shell dock.

There was also 2 Mature Bald eagles at the Glenora Ferry crossing this morning.
One was a lot ways out on the ice but the other was flyng around the shoreline
on the South side.
To get to the ferry, go North on #33 Hwy. from Kingston or Bath.

Bald eagles have arrived in South Lake Simcoe. One 3-year old bird was
observed roosted in a large Black willow tree on the shore of Lake
Simcoe at Cook's Bay on Saturday December 14 at 12:50 p.m. The bird was
eating a large carp fish in the tree about 25 feet above the shore bank.

Late this morning I was treated to 2 Bsld Eagles circling overhead at the end
of Lakeside Gardens. At least one of them was an adult bird but they both may
have been . One for sure. They were soon joined by either. 3 crows or
ravens, too far even with binos to ID.
Early in

likely first year. They came in from the west and left to the north towards
Port Elgin.

At Cressy (lakeside) this morning (along with the diving ducks, geese

Stopped at Princess Point (Cootes Paradise, Hamilton) late this
afternoon and spotted (besides the usual suspects) a pair of immature
Bald Eagles flying together over Cootes, engaged in their aggressive
'dominance' flight, diving on each other repeatedly as they flew off
towards the west-southwest.
While driving along Riddell Drive between March Valley and 6th Line Roads in
Kanata, I saw 10-12 ravens on the side of the road. As I slowed down for a
look I noticed the leg of a road-kill white-tail deer in the ditch. I
proceeded another 2-300 metres to turn around when an adult Bald Eagle t

We spotted three Bald Eagles On the North Side of Rainham Road just North of
the Nanticoke Generating Station. There were two juveniles and one adult.
They roosted together in a large tree about 500 M from Rainham Road. Last year
we saw adults in the same area.
Also while driving on Sandusk
Two sub-adult Bald Eagles were seen soaring eastwards today over the Rouge
Valley at Sewell's Road at about 3:30 P.M.
Sewell's Road runs south from Steeles Ave., about 1 km east of Ninth Line,
Markham.

My wife and I birded the west end of Wolfe Island today. Saw 5 Rough-legged
Hawks and 3 Northern Harriers on 5th Line Road. My wife Beth spotted 2
mature Bald Eagles flying eastwards at the west end of Reed's Bay Road and I
photographed them.

Yesterday a pair of adult BALD EAGLEs swept
through a neighbours yard. Today there were three Imm. BALDS sitting
together on some rocks off Kettle Point.
Also today there were twelve Gt. YELLOWLEGS chasing minnows in
one of the boat channels on K.
