The Solitaire has not been reported for some time so I report that Debbie
Campbell and myself observed the bird in the juniper bush at 7 Millbrook
Cresc this afternoon at 3:30 PM.

Hi Ontbirders,
I got my first look at the Ottawa Solitaire this morning, 12 January,
between about 1120 and 1140 AM. Three other birders were present when I
arrived and one advised that the bird had flown a few minutes earlier into
the juniper at the left front of # 7 Millbrook Crescent. The bird

The Townsend's Solitaire is still present in Rothwell Heights, Ottawa, and
was most recently reported yesterday (March 10) in the spruces at #5 Coxford
St. Also in the neighbourhood were ~20 Bohemian Waxwings and several

the same location (#38 Rothwell Dr.), between 7:30 AM and 8:15 AM, and again
at ~ 10:15. No afternoon reports as yet, but it certainly seems to be fond

in the Rothwell Heights area of Beacon Hill North, and was seen again @ 8:45
this morning (by Bob Bracken, Bob Cermak Paul Mirsky), SINGING and feeding
in a Common Buckthorn bush at #38
