I'm also running Blackbox on Debian. Though I'm
running it on Debian Testing, and there are no
left/right sides of any application window, which is
personally something I like :). Do you have edges
on your other application windows (mozilla, galeon,
aterm, etc... ?)
Anyway, what are
be
involved. I checked for viruses (on demand) and came out clean. I do not
have (and never have had) ZA installed. I removed and ruled out the firewall
some time ago when the problems started.

Don't see your post? Check our
wishes to add toolbar
or menu support... then they could build in bbmenu/bbtoolbar.
Okay, so this is just a keyboard vs. mouse jihad, then?

Once I know exactly what we need (and once cvs comes back up so I can
get a pristine tree to diff against...) I can get you guys a patch.

The one remaining nit that I know about that I've not had time to sit
down and create a fix/patch for is that blackbox CVS now may or may not
be compiled with Xft, and there's no way for external applications to
know this. The fix discussed with nyz is in creating a pkgconfig script
that is
that this
request won't happen. As I mentioned above, it is not the wm's job.
this is, however, something that could be accomplished with bbappconf
and a few lines added to your .xinitrc/.xsession, once netwm is implemented.

Hi all.
I have problems compiling both 0.65-final and the CVS (updated today).
I have a SuSE 7.2 (2.4.4 kernel) and glibc-2.2.2-38. I get this error
when I make:
[...]
Making all in lib
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/david/temp/CVS/blackbox/lib'
source='Application.cc' object='Application.o
that seem to work. configure now is able to write the make file. i am now
doing a make. hope it goes well. thanks so much for the help.

I get the same error if I issue:
./configure --x-libraries=/usr
for XOpenDisplay in -lX11... no
configure: error: Could not find XOpenDisplay in -lX11.
it report that XOpenDisplay can't be found. I have installed XFree86-devel. To
verify:
[xx@xx]# rpm -qa | grep XFree86-devel
XFree86-devel-4.2.0-72
any idea?

No edge-flipping was the initial reason for my hesitation to adopt
blackbox. I thought I couldn't live without it. I very quickly
learned that I don't need it, and I'm sure you will too. Right
click-sendto works very nicely. I would, however, like to experiment
with setting up bbkeys to
