Neither do I. I have my slit on top right or center right. Not useful to have a
gkrellm on the center of the screen.

The easiest is to call it with bbkeys, and toggling its decor off afterwards with
bbkeys too (I use ALT-6 for aterm and CTRL-TAB for toggleDecor). Still, you have
to do it every time Nothing's perfect.

I also have troubles compiling bbsmount: when using make for
bbsmount-0.2.3, it stops with a message of "LinkedList.hh:66: friend
declaration requires class-key, i.e. 'friend class
