Hey Annette,
I have the Olympus Digital Voice Recorder 480Pc. I have had it for a couple of
years. I told my
wife the other day that if anything ever happened to it, I would have to
replace it immediately. I
use it for recording little messages and notes throughout the day. I have even
Yes, your MSConfig is probably clogged up. And, have you thought about
adding more memory to your system? I might have spaced out when you
sent that email, and I am not sure if that has been suggested.
Thanks

The ds30/40/50's are voice recorders, not PDA's, so you would be able to
store voice recordings of phone numbers and other souch info in it, however,
if you stored any other type of file (e.g. text files) it would store them
but not read them. For just making short notes like storing phone

Marilyn,
I have been reading all the posts regarding the Olympus DS series digital
recorders this AM.
Ironically, I have been researching digital recorders for the past two weeks on
the net and have found this series to be the best. If and when you decide to
invest in one, check out
I understand that the DS 50 recorder has more features and is easy to operate.
Has anybody looked at the DS50 and compared it with, let's say, the DS40?
I own a DS30 recorder and it is not what I want so when I visit the USA next
week I will check out all the models.

The only differences with the ds30, the ds 40 and the ds 50 are the amount
of data you can store on it, and the amount of recording time. the ds50 is
the best as it has 1gb of memmory, for more detailed info check out a
podcast on the ds50 on www.blindcooltech.com

Shannon, I expect to like this little recorder and hope Circuit City has one
to handle Weds. since their web site says that they sell it. If I can save
money, I'll go Amazon as I do quite a bit of shopping there. Have you tried
amazon.com/access, the accessible version? Not bad, actually.
Victor, I have done this with GoldWave. Actually, the default for GoldWave
is the .wav format. The primary reason for recording sounds in this way is
that GoldWave can effectively edit them down to the microsecond if
necessary. As Bob was telling you, you have numerous sources from which to

I would check the HP website for updated drivers for the scanner, and see if
