Do you have, by any chance, MacAfee Internet security installed?
This product is fairly notorious for fouling up attempts at home
networking.
I have had similar problems to the ones you describe and all these problems
disappear as soon as you remove MacAfee.
Products like Eset Smart Security are

Thanks for the info David. I am not using it; I've never liked it and have
never really heard good things about it. I use Avast and have never had any
troubles with it.
I'll keep experimenting with the networking.

I once networked a desktop running AVG and a Netbook running Avast.
I did this running the Network setup wizard first on the Desktop XP machine.
I then created a network setup wizard onto a USB pen to run on the Netbook.
I did this and the wizard reported success but initially both machines
Hi David,
Yes I set up all the folders for sharing. I will try to run the setup wizard
again on both machines using the setup disc way.
Thanks for the ideas.

Although that will work. We are really making this far more complicated
then it really should be. It really doesn't matter if the computers are
connected to the router wired or wirelessly. It only matters that they
are on the same subnet and can communicate with eachother. Assuming both

Adding to what Frank has indicated, when you name your network,
using the wizard, make sure that the network name is properly entered on
each machine using the

netbooks. I'm sure the notebooks you outlined will work with the above
operating system due to its low hardware requirements.

I went to the Go Daddy hosting web site.
The site seemed to be very sluggish and a nuisance for working with JAWS. I
had a tough time trying to find a web domain name and even trying to figure
out what the monthly cost was.
Maybe I'll try another service. Any more suggestions?

Hi Brian,
I am aware of copying from the Virtual Cursor and glad you have learned
