Hello, I am trying to get rid of media player 11 and it said I cant roll
back because the files are already deleted. If this is so, how come the
media player is still on my computer? It won't allow me to choose an
earlier version like media player classic as my default player. So how do I
Hi friends,
I would like very much to create an autoplay disk for NVDA Portable. I tried
to create an auto run file with open = nvda.exe but it didn't work. When I
inserted the Cd, the normal windows menu popped up. any help will be much
appreciated.
thank you all
Windows Vista and 7 clamped down on Autoplay. You'll find there's no
way to make a disk that just runs. You'll always get the windows menu.
The autofun.inf can be used to make NVDA the default if the user
presses return, but that's it.

You must go into control panel and go to add remove programs then find media
player and remove it.

Hi all, hope someone here can help. My husband's computer is not holding the
correct time and we would like to fix the problem ourselves. What, if
anything, can we do to remedy this problem?
Also, would this cause the computer to do strange things? I have checked for

Hi Yvonne,
Sure, Chris is right there -- the free version refuses to be scheduled. But
what I find is that you schedule it using the Scheduled Tasks applet.
However, you do not schedule the MalwareBytes executable directly because it
will refuse to be scheduled. Instead, you should use a batch
Hello there,
It looks like your Windows Media Player was updated on your computer to
Windows Media 11. However, the problem is that when you or someone initiated
this update, Windows Media Player update removed the earlier version. This
could have been that System Restore was off at the time.
HI Lou;
Does the computer only lose time if it has been turned off and then
restarted? If so the battery in the motherboard probably needs to be
replaced. Yes, the computer will do some very strange things if the clock
and calendar are not correct. It won't update correctly because of

Oh, I know how to delete it from the add and remove programs folder. My
problem is that it tells me that I cant roll back because the files are
already deleted. So it won't uninstall mediaplayer11. It still remains on
the computer. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you Heather

Actually, any program that can receive command line parameters can be run

Yes you are quite correct about command line parameters. I just have never
used malware bytes so as a result do not know any of them for that
particular program.

Hi,
Then what it means is that you should consider installing another media
player such as KLite Megapack Full

which comes with Media Player Classic Home Cinema. Simply make that program

I thought Media Player can't be really deleted as it already came with the
system? Maybe in newer versions like Vista or 7 it already works better as
one can choose from some other items to be removed but that's still not in
XP (I also have Pro BTW). Or maybe you should have deleted first the

Heather, You can't really delete media player 11. If you try to do it,
windows will roll itself back to an earlier version of windows media player.
what I would do is this.
Reinstall windows media player 11 right over what you have now. It will

Hi,
If you are using Notepad, when you are saving, simply type any name like
what you did, but don't press enter yet.
Then tab to the next field where file type is required.
Here by default, notepad will highlight on its own type: Text Files (.txt),
so arrow down once to All files (*.*).
