Hello, I am trying to get rid of media player 11 and it said I cant roll back because the files are already deleted. If this is so, how come the media player is still on my computer? It won't allow me to choose an earlier version like media player classic as my default player. So how do I

Hello there, It looks like your Windows Media Player was updated on your computer to Windows Media 11. However, the problem is that when you or someone initiated this update, Windows Media Player update removed the earlier version. This could have been that System Restore was off at the time.

Oh, I know how to delete it from the add and remove programs folder. My problem is that it tells me that I cant roll back because the files are already deleted. So it won't uninstall mediaplayer11. It still remains on the computer. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you Heather

Heather, You can't really delete media player 11. If you try to do it, windows will roll itself back to an earlier version of windows media player. what I would do is this. Reinstall windows media player 11 right over what you have now. It will install ok, and will correct the windows media
