convert it with the save as dialog to .doc format.

Hello List:
From time to time I come across a certain file and have know clue what it
means or what it is for.
For instance, I received a PPS. file and have not a clue what it is.
If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ahead of time.

There is a site http://www.filext.com that has a database of file extensions
so hope that helps. Otherwise PPS is a Powerpoint presentation/slideshow.

I have been sent some emails with those files.

Many thanks.

RoseMarie, if it is that webIE has worked before on the Safeway site
(which would surprise me), then I suspect malware.
I'd do an antivirus antispyware scan try again. I'd also try using
a traditional browser such as IE or Firefox. If you're still being
redirected, then go to

Hi, Jackie,
I'm thinking of getting rid of web IE. I had only downloaded it because I
know it's supposed to work with any screen reader you have but it's not
working out for me. I did like the calendar feature but I can always write
my appointments down anyway.

You can still use the calendar program even if you don't use WebbIE. It's a
stand-alone application, so if you switch to IE or Firefox as your browser,
you can still use it as long as you don't uninstall the entire WebbIE
package.

Try using firefox or IE to go to safeway.com let us know if that
works. If not, then truly suspect malware.

Hi, Jackie,
I'll uninstall web IE and download firefox. I'll have to use NVDA with
firefox because I have an old version of Jaws and it won't work with
firefox. Hopefully that will work.

Hello my friend.
Could you be more specific my friend? Are you talking about from within
Internet Explorer, or from within an email?
It would be helpful to have more details in order to help you.

The safeway.com site isn't all that friendly w/ff, RoseMarie. I
suggest u either use the accessability site or IE to use the safeway
site. The issue is that ff doesn't recognize the buttons to add
subtract quantities as being clickable. Your alternative is simply to
use the edit field provided
Do you think it could be send space? I logged out and then back in and the
links still don't work.

Hi, Jackie,
I do use the accessibility site. I just couldn't use it with web IE. I'm
glad I got rid of that browser. I don't think it's all that great like it
used to be.

The subject line tells us nothing, and if I weren't moderating this list,
I would have deleted it for that very reason.
Also, you need to give more information if you wish to get some help
as far as I can tell, you might be talking about a link in a chain.
Please be more specific in the future,
NO. How about waiting a few days in the event that maybe Safeway website is
changing or having problems.

Jackie. I feel the same way as it seems like just about the most basic step
in trouble shooting a problem but many on these lists seem to freak out and
jump right to their hard drive needs reformatting. Rebooting is always a
good first step. Actually, I tell them to first unload then reload
Hey guys.
Does anyone know if Window Eyes needs scripts, similar to Jaws that will make
GoldWave easier to use?
I know GoldWave can be used with scripts of any kind, but I have to admit, the
added benefits of having the scripts installed are a major bonus, but I can't
rightly remember if
Hi, Scorpio,
I could ask a friend of mine who uses window-eyes. I don't know if he has
gold wave. If he does, I'll ask him if he had to use scripts to make it
work.
Hope this helps.
