Hi. Hope someone can help me. Are there step by step instructions available on how to burn data to a CD or DVD using Windows Media Player 10? I really need to back up my hard drive but don't know how. I've got a drive capable of writing to either CD's or DVD's, and I'd like to burn data to DVD's

I can't answer your question but would suggest that you add an external backup hard drive such as a Maxter. Hope this isn't dumb advice but it is what I have done. It backs up three times a week but you can set it to back up more often. Marilyn Visit the Blind Computing List home page at:

Hi Everyone, Marilyn's suggestion to use an external hard drive is, I think, the smart way to go. I have two external hard drives which I use only for backups. I use Microsoft system backup at least twice a month and I find that it is accessible with Jaws. It usually don't come with the XP hom

Lenny, microsoft also has an even more detailed set of directions for installing the windows backup software from the xp home disc. Sure wish I had known about it before my hard drive failed in July. As soon as a sighted helper shows up, we'll get the xp program out and give it a whirl. Thank
