Hi. Hope someone can help me. Are there step by step instructions
available on how to burn data to a CD or DVD using Windows Media Player 10?
I really need to back up my hard drive but don't know how.
I've got a drive capable of writing to either CD's or DVD's, and I'd like to
burn data to DVD's
I can't answer your question but would suggest that you add an external
backup hard drive such as a Maxter. Hope this isn't dumb advice but it is
what I have done. It backs up three times a week but you can set it to back
up more often. Marilyn

David, I sure hope my maxster is working; it says it si but who knows? It
was not correctly formatted when installed so that when my internal hard
drive failed, there was nothing on the backup drive. How do you check yours
to make sure it is actually working? Marilyn

Hi Everyone,
Marilyn's suggestion to use an external hard drive is, I think, the
smart way to go. I have two external hard drives which I use only for backups.
I use Microsoft system backup at least twice a month and I find that
it is accessible with Jaws.
It usually don't come with the XP hom
Personally I use Karen's Replicator myself.

Hi Everyone,
Marilyn
Lenny, microsoft also has an even more detailed set of directions for
installing the windows backup software from the xp home disc. Sure wish I
had known about it before my hard drive failed in July. As soon as a
sighted helper shows up, we'll get the xp program out and give it a whirl.
Thank
