Everything Ian says is correct except for the need for a mud client.  Certainly, a mud client helps, because it gives you things like aliases, triggers, and macros for free, but most muds have variations of these features built in, and it doesn't take anything beyond a standard telnet client to

Not true, I routinely select crystal, then assign the extractor to place items in that warehouse.  I've never experienced the problem where I couldn't store crystals in a crystal warehouse. Perhaps you need to leave the product unselected on the warehouse, then just assign the crystal extracto
