Lee, Don't know how much looking around you've done on that engine, but it is a 318 minus 2 cylinders. The pistons lifters valves are all the same sizes there's just less of them. If you ever develop a rear main seal leak, buy the seal for the 318. It's a 2 piece and will go right in and w

Hi Lee, Your best bet is to get that truck up on a hoist and thoroughly check out the front end. It could be a number of things like a bad Idler arm, a bad ball joint, or bad control arm bushings. These are all guesses and hard to surmise without actually driving or looking at the vehicle. I
