You got that right, but looking into the electric model of the
tankless water heater, I learned it requires a great deal of wiring
work. From what I have gathered, most if not all use a six-wire setup
and I believe it is 3 220 breakers. I may be wrong, but I believe they
can pull down
I didn't look to see what brand water heater was in the condo that we
rented. It had a 50 gallon unit. In this condo there were two full size
bathrooms. There were six of us on vacation. At one point the dish washer
was running and all of us got showers. I was the last to go and really
Tom,
A couple of thoughts for you:
First, remember that a tankless water heater is a differential heater. This
means that, at a certain flow rate, the device will raise the temperature of
the water a specified number of degrees. E.g., at 5 gal / minute, a unit may
raise the temperature 40
No lee,

Hi Folks,
My wife and I are thinking of buying a particular generator that's currently on
sale at our local Canadian Tire, a sort of poor man's big box store. LOL.
In any case, they've got a portable generator for sale for 99 dollars, almost
half price it's original price, and I want to know

hi the question is what are you wanting to use it for.
with only 800 watts it won't do much.
it will run some lights and a power tool or 3 but that's about it.
it won't run a hair dryer or a a larger TV.
i wouldn't trust my computer on it be cause i am sure there isn't that much
filtering on it.
I am curious to know why you want to use this sort of construction.
The system works well for basement construction where much of the foam is well
protected in the ground and you can form a good seal between the top and the
floor decking but once you need to mount windows into it and seal a

Aloha all,
We had our office carpet replaced and it is marvelous, but when we
put our old chair mats down, it was clear that we needed new ones
because the mats sunk down and made it difficult to roll the chairs.
So, off to OfficeMax to purchase a mat that said it was for thick
carpets. Now as
figured that's whaty you'd say and can't blame ya. There are few folks
repairing TB's today.
Sony and Zenith still have factory repair centers in the US last I new.
Others use contracted shops. Some, (under $200 for 27 inch) are tossed if

Before the days of flexible chair mats we used 1/4 in plexiglass. It was
really better for thick carpets because you weren't always rolling uphill to
get out of the indentations the wheels make in the flexible mats.

Aloha Don,
Yes, mine does too, but the little things don't hold the mat in place.

Here's the short version. Energy efficiency. I've heard that a house built in
this way can save an average of 50% on electric bills. I want an energy
efficient home so that's why I'm looking at icf. I'm also looking at
conventional construction with blow in insulation, preferably foam.
It is great to save energy, but concrete is not very enviornmentally friendly
if that is part of your reasoning.

Hi Jim and all,
I wasn't really thinking of using it for anything major.
One thing I have a problem with is sleep apnea, and as a result, I have a
CPAP system at night.
When the electricity goes out, which doesn't happen all that often, thank
goodness, but when it does, I find myself getting
The induced signal in the amplifiers may be magnetic rather then electric.
You may need to use thin steel. Roof flashing is a good source of it. Oh.
Flat screens don't have deflection yokes do they. Try the aluminum foil
first. It's cheep and easy to do. Ground it to the amplifiers.
You can get a battery to use for back up with your CPAP, or for camping or the
like. You can get a battery that will do this in the outdoor department at
Wal-mart, or at an outdoor store.

Hi Victor.
Your CPAP would probably run off a computer UPS. If you buy a big one and
load it lightly it will run for the best part of an hour. You can get them
up to a kilowatt for still under 500 dollars. I don't know how things go
for you but here when the power goes out it generally
This small generator would be perfect for camping or on my boat. It is small
and light weight. The only real problem is it has a
2 cycle engine. So, you would have to mix the oil in the gas. The exhaust
will be pretty messy. The 2 cycle engines are not all
that efficient.
