Hi all
Just joined the list recently, and finding many of the conversations quite
interesting. I've heard many many stories of people blind and fully sighted
alike being treated poorly by sales people. I can honestly say that I have
not really had too many of those experiences, in fact, I
What really torques my jaws at Home Depot is whenever I ask a clerk for help
finding something, they want to know what I'm using it for. For instance,
I've ask them where I can find the number 8, one inch long, flat head, brass
wood screws. Invariably they will say, what are you using them for?
That's funny. Thanks for the info Jewel. Sometimes my wife of 25 years,
refers to me as her future ex husband.

Al, I think that's a good idea having them next door to each other. It
wouldn't hurt either of them and it would be very convenient for us
customers. They match each others prices anyway so it wouldn't affect their
profits.

rob,
Don't know what the capacitance or voltage ratings of those caps might be,
the popular talking voltmeter has capacitance ranges that may help.
Good continuity testers, not the beep-nobeep kind in meters, but the kind that
make a tone whose pitch changes with resistance, can test a cap with

Well Matt, sounds like you had a good day. Sometimes I think I could just
hang out at Lowes all day, as long as I had someone with me to tell me what
everything is.
At our Lowes, most everyone knows us by name now.It makes it more

Don't discount the discount shelf either.
I was in tool world or whatever, the tool section of lows and a nice helpful
guy helpped me to find the ratchiting handles which someone on the list had
suggested?
Well, that was great, had the bits in the handle and everything.
Then we wandered by the
Check out those big nice sinks they have now?

And, I think, some of those people are just
curious, and, with a blind person asking, that
peaks their curiosity more. Some of those store

somewhat off topic maybe, but I've learned through
richard Oehm, that DTV converters that use the BroadComm chip set have
a neat signal strength meter that's accessible.
If you can find out that you have such, and they are distributed under many

I am interested in playing with a router.

Took three trips to doctors, and finally a bit of surgery to get it out.
I'm thinking of gluing the splinter to a plaque and hanging it on my shop

I have 4 of them and I'm a total. Just keep a firm hold on it and your fingers
clear of the bit. BTW, if it's a hand held router, move from right to left.
That will keep the bit bighting into the wood. Left to right will cause it to
skip and jump and makes it very hard to control.
