Just wondering, since you were complaining about the price of the 12 - 3
wire.
First of all, Couldn't you have used 14 gauge wire instead of 12 gauge?
What else is on this circuit? If it's just a few lights, you only need 14
gauge and 15 amp switches and breaker..
Secondly, you don't
OK here is the thinking. Some codes may restrict how many outlets can be put
on a circuit, some do not and future add ons can be accommodated better with a
20 amp circuit. The code does permit 15 amp devices to be used on a 20 amp
circuit. I am not using 12 3 from the panel box. only

The topics that can be discussed on the Blind Handy Man list are as follows.
Here is a direct quote from the beginning of every show, building repairing or

Scott,
From your question, I'm surmising you don't think a blind person can operate
a gasoline snowblower? Oh contraire my friend, I am the only one here and even
if I weren't I'd still be in charge of clearing the snow with my 8 HP
snowblower.
Certainly a blind person isn't going to be
Hi,
What types of equipment would be good, for someone who is totally blind, to
purchase?
I'm looking for a bike treadmill so any suggestions would be helpful.

Bill,
I'd like to add just a couple more things to your excellent post. I use a
snow blower when the snow is pretty wet heavy as well as the plow bank for
our double wide driveway. For our driveway, I usually push snow
systematically into piles and then use the snow blower to remove it from the
that is what Philadelphia uses in some of the fleet. With the budget
problems, they now cancel trash pick up when they are going to send the
trucks out for plowing that day.
Of course that gives the guys a reason to lay off the pick up routine the
day before a plow day if they are forewarned.
Hey folks,
Pleas forgive this off topic message, but this is the only group I

Hi all,
does anybody know the output voltage from a USB port on a computer.
I wish to charge something but I don't know that voltage.
Thanks for any advice.
Max.
If you have already removed your sliding door screen, lay it down on a flat
surface with lots of room around you. Screen repair shops use a 4' x 8'
table often covered with carpeting to protect the screen doors painted
finish. If you have no suitable table, lay the screen door on the ground on
top
Sorry for this.
I forgot to ask if it is AC or DC current.

Hi Max
USB
Max
It's twelve volts and each usb port can supply up to 500 MA
however there is software negotiation to allow that much current draw,
I don't know the pin configuration of the usb ports.

Bill,
Do you run the gas snow blowedr at the same speed as a sighted person or do you
slow it ddown a bit. I am not suggesting that a blind person can't run it but
more for me it's scarry for me to run. My father let me try his and it was a
bit too fast for me.

you're talking to a person who uses these on a daily bases. the one problem
that a lot of tredmills have now are they are touch screen, it's rare to
find a machine that you can navigate by yourself, unless you mark the
buttons that you want to use. Once you have the buttons marked they are easy
Hi All
Well I have been under the house crawling around inspecting all the beams
for any termites.
I took a six foot stick under there because I did not want to run into any
snakes or big spiders.
The stick also found the piers and it was better than head butting them
which is not the best
Yes, this is entirely correct. I cleared the 4 to 5 inches we had on our drive
this past Saturday. One trick I use, is that rather than attempt to get the
next strip of snow that is to my left or right, I'll actually cut in sharper
than I'd guess. I find that this cuts down on me going over
