Howard, I would guess that you have some settling in the floor. Is this a wood floor? If so, it may be that some of the plywood flooring is deteriorating. You could shim the stool, but it might be a better idea to determine the actual issue and make the proper repair. I would examine the

Wow Howard, Sounds to me as if the drain pipe wasn't mounted perfectly perpendicular to the bathroom floor. Unless the floor has sagged some??? Here's the thing, those two bolts you speak of are actually anchored (anchor bolts) to the top of the drain pipe via a collar that has keyhole style
