The review I looked at had the Grizzly G7947 as one of the presses. It actually looked great except for two things. It weighs a freakin ton, 275 pounds. The next heaviest press was 200 pounds. And, it had the worst run-out of the bunch, 0.007 inches. I expect that for wood working, this is

I understand what you are saying about quality versis name. One can no longer purchase a name brand tool and expect it to be a quality product based on the brand name. Even Powermatic is being made in Asia these days. I think Porter Cable, Delta, Black & Decker are one now. I know Powermatic,

I agree totally with the v-twist belts. I use them every where possible. The most improved tool in my case was the bandsaw. I'm assuming this is because the belt is so long. I'd say the heavier the tool the better. I'd want the extra mass. 200 LBS versis 275 LBS would add a lot of stibilit
