One thing I didn't mention. The common and hot might be pushed into holes in the back of the plug rather than attached to the screw terminals. If this is the case, you may or may not be able to pull the wire out. If you can't just cut it off at the plug and restrip the wire. Otherwise, you

The key is to make sure the power is turned off. :) It's not too hard. You just have to put the wires back where they came off. When I do it , I move one wire at a time. You might have to move 2 sets of wires if the plug is in the middle of the circuit. I have a color identifier that helps
