and bought a USB DVD writer for under $40. Worked like a charm for the BX

You can assign the "admin" email alias to any user on the customer domain.
You just cannot have a username of "admin" as that is reserved.

I either ssh in and do "service dovecot restart" or I toggle the POPS
server off and then back on in the admin GUI to get it going again.
I'm puzzled why the Active Monitor script can't seem to restart Dovecot,
when I ca
ested it now by manually stopping dovecot just before the AM event
script, then let AM do its thing. Alas, Dovecot again did not restart, had
to restart it manually :-(

Actually, the users don't get an error message, they just don't get any
mail. The error shows up in the logs. I guess that's why AM thinks it is
OK.

3. I added two jobs to the /etc/crontab schedule to invoke the addlink and
droplink shell scripts every 5 minutes, like this:

So, everything works great now, and I learned a thing or two regarding PHP
in the process. Just enough to be dangerous...
at's why I thought admserv was running the script as root.
I was thinking the permissions error was related to the restrictions on
the symlink function when running in safe mode, as per this list:

I resolved (ha ha) the problem by adding my own server IPs into the "Query
Request Recursion Access by IP Address" box on the DNS Advanced settings.
I do not have any additional colo DNS servers listed.
