The sample 'server push' code worked beautifully on Mozilla but not on IE.  Microsoft describes 'server push' as something proprietary from Netscape and not supported by IE. It also gives some sample ASP code but only to work with Netscape browser I may have to resort to some _javascript_

is there a generic file system interface for perl? this:==> (-e './subdir/file.ext') works fine on Linux, but I'd have to s{/}{\}g to get it to work on windows. how do you write code that will work on both file systems without a lot of if($nix) {blah/blah;} else
