The Free Software Foundation has changed the GNU Mailman settings on
this list. The short version is that any subject prefix or message
footer has been removed, allowing us to turn off DMARC from munging.
Any list administrator for this list is free to change these settings
back, instructions are
cause it depends on exact font used to build
grub and may depend on exact qemu/bios version which most likely differ
from the one used to create reference files. I think this test should be
disabled by default.

Yes, that appears to have resolved the issue. I was already testing essentially
that patch on my own, but wasn't sure if there might be similar assumptions

the free space after the MBR (where Stage 1.5 was
embedded), so he deleted Stage 1.5 in the GRUB directory and
reinstalled GRUB. Thus his GRUB installation now works without Stage
1.5. Am I missing anything?

I have sent the query below twice and each time I get a reply from
bug-grub-bounces. Why?
I am using grub 0.90 which came with red hat linux and uses linux kernel
2.4.7-10. It has done everything I need so far loading Linux and Windows
from 2 disks.
However using PowerQuest
as
(hd1,4) and (hd1,5) but I get error 22 no such partition.
Can you send the output of the 'geometry (hd1)' command at the GRUB CLI?
The contents of your device.map file are important as well, include that
also.
