If you are planning to attend Museum Ships this weekend please make sure you

The organizers are still needing the final numbers on people attending to
determine the food requirements.
Set-up
No such animal in the amateur world. There are VHF only radios with remote
mount in the commercial world. Prices are around $1000 for a 40 watt radio,
128 channel radio. You can get a used one on ebay for about $300 or so
(sometimes less). However there is no direct entry from the control head.
Field Day is upon us. Set-up starts today at the Fort Bend county fire
training field at 260 Clay Road, Richmond Texas at noon. The time will vary
some due to the on-going activities at the training field. Talk-in will be
on 146.940 but don't be surprised if no one answers very quickly. So be

Ships Weekend (MSWE). From June 3rd to the 5th, the historic ships at
Seawolf Park on Pelican Island in Galveston will come to life as part of an
annual worldwide event commemorating their service. This year, BVARC will be

What goes up and doesn't come down (or at least for now)? The International
Space Station that's what. The ISS has been up since 1998 (first module) and
will be orbiting the Earth until 2028 or when it is sold off to the Ru
