This reminds me a lot of a situation in one of the nearby communities. There
was a dancer who was openly rude to the other dancers and the callers in
particular. An example would be from the floor calling the caller a Nazi. He
was extremely disruptive, and I went to their board to request they
I often call medleys at this type of event. Either 3, 4, or even 6 dances (I
know you have plenty of these from past NEFFAs), and they're so much easier to
call by yourself instead of passing that microphone around among callers.

I've been using Power Surge a lot, and it's very good with a mixed crowd.

Hi Emily. I have my cards backed up on the computer, but use hand written
cards. The cards are written in black ink, but if I need to change something, I
use white-out, if that's why you want to use a pencil. I like the hand-written
cards so I can add notes to myself while calling if I notice

Hi Bev,
The only two I've called are Ted's Tempest (agree with David Millstone), and
Plaza Arts Tempeste by Linda Mrosko. In Plaza Arts, I changed the A1 to down
the hall, turn as couples, return only part way up to new neighbors and face
closest sides. Original has the line backing up the hall
l each other back in towards their
group of four. Some dancers will want to add a full circle twirl as a
flourish. The impetus for this can be generated by using those joined
hands to propel each other.

Wow, Tom. I thought I was the only one anal enough to do that. All of my dances
