Why would you? Polaroid film holders are used for Polaroid film..(you would
wear it out prematurely using everything and anything.) Standard film
holders are generally used for film or paper negatives..

I had just made a experimental ground glass panel for a 8x10 I
had acid etched it first and then I "lightly" sandblasted it with 240
grit... or I should say faintly as it was just enough to randomly etch
the surface using very low air pressure. The appearance if it had not been
acid e
If your planning on doing carbon printing ( a wonderful alt process)
you better get yourself a properly sized window air conditioning unit for
that room to maintain 70 degrees on a typical summer day for your area... A
Heating and Air conditioning contractor can do the calculations for you..
the blower air that cools the film
in the light head...
I will photograph the light head on the camera and send pictures off
list if you want me to ..

I know that the famous Fresson studio in France had
set up a Enlarger for their secret process which would need a great deal of

My friend researched and bought a General Table Saw.. They are quite a
precision saw.. It is amazing how the American saws have degraded.. So much
is made in China now with really lousy tolerances..

by 8 foot sheet is about $35 . If I am
layering 1/8 x 1 1/2 " aluminum strips to form the framework for the dark
