Good question, but I have an extra twist to add to it.
1. Should Shaping be applied to DLCI 201? (I would shay yes)
2. Should Shaping be applied to DLCI 202 to prevent BR2 from taking all of the
bandwidth or maybe Voice-adaptive shaping?
This is all assuming that the HQ is just a t-1.

Hi:
I would appreciate some comments.
I have the following scenario:
In HQ I have a physical serial interface with 2 PVCs: DLCI 201 to BR1 with CIR
384kbps and DLCI 202 to BR2 with CIR 1544kbps.
I assume I need to configure frame-relay fragment for DLCI 201 with fragment
size equal
I believe you're allowed to bring in food, but NOT consume it at the
workstation. You are able to bring drinks to your desk, and the food could
be kept in the cooler. I don't think it would be a big deal at all.

Is there any way of testing the dialplan on the gatekeeper like you can on a
h323 gateway with the show dial-peer voice summary command.

As far as the router is concerned (and thus the exam) yes both are
considered E164 numbers.
Also, not that it doesn't have great (and normally correct)
information, I don't know that I would rely on wikipedia for your CCIE
studies. A much better place would be to go to the source - go to th
When you say the "CME is sending through its dialplan" do you mean it
is sending its E164 numbers to be registered? If that is whtat you

its E164 numbers to be registered. It simply doesn't offer them to the

Still strugling a bit on the gatekeeper.
I have CCM with h225 trunk to Gatekeeper and its registered. I also have CME

I think it would be worth trying, the guys in San Jose would likely allow

Edward,
Honestly, not sure since I have never tried. The only
thing I have walked into the lab with was my wallet
and my cell phone. They take your cell phone and put
it on a cabinet to grab when you leave. Maybe someone
else on this mailing list could help where I cannot.

Edward,
I probably know more about RTP than most people on
this mailing list, my next voice attempt on 4/21 will
be #9 for me in RTP (this is for all IE's not just
Voice :) ).

As I have said before I am making my first attempt on April 18th. So I have a

Is there adequate space to notes? (I know on Cisco provided sheets with Cisco

My concern is that if they have already migrated the R&S lab to 3560s,
then it seems likely that the voice pods will migrate soon as well.
Granted, they have to give us some notice on the lab equipment list a
few weeks/months prior to the change... but... you never know.
My concern here is a conf
Which one?
I only ask, because I am seeing a lot of conflicting documentation on
Cisco's website.
One says that all IP Phones mark as AF31, but CCM, etc will mark as CS3...
However, I saw a note in the QoS SRND that all markings will migrate
to CS3 (when?)
It probably doesn't much matter as I a
Jonathan,
I am pretty sure they are still using 3550's and I
haven't heard news of them changing which I believe
means it would still be 6+ months away.

The lab hardware guide says they are still using 3550s, however, the
other labs (R&S) say they are using 3550s and/or 3560s...
Which ones?
I only ask because the interface configuration is slightly different
and the QoS settings are decidedly different (WRR vs. SRR)
