There are other tasks for you to accomplish in the IOS devices before you
can actually register the phones. So, for me, it sounds better if you start
with the IOS devices, and then move to the Web GUI.
This is my opinion, however.

Hi Amit,
Can you paste some configs, please? It's always a good idea to paste

Dear All,
In the devise base strategy which is better to start with the CUCM and the
applications or to start with the Router devices ??
I believe to start with CUCM is better that allow the phones to register

Correct. If you convert a phone to using External URLs only then you will be

In regards to Q1, you are accurate in that:
- When the GW fails over to the backup call agent, it will send a RSIP (not
shown in your trace, perhaps not pertinent to your question)
- The call agent will send AUEP messages to the MGCP GW for each endpoint
- The MGCP GW responds to AUEP with a 2

Dominik,
You can absolutely verify the the queue and threshold assignment using the
command: show mls qos dscp-output-q.

Hi Bill,
You are correct but that was in the past. Before the new scheduling system, I
used to ask support to link my B2B sessions. Now the sessions are automatically
linked. I scheduled a B2B session last week and I didn't have to ask support.

You need to verify as in the past this did not always work. Not sure how the
new scheduling works

Thanks William,
Yes. Cisco documentation says that "by default" DSCP 46 is in Q1T1.
But when you look at the mls configuration (after auto qos done on some
interface) it shows that DSCP 46 is in Q1T3 :(
Then, when you try to move DSCP 46 from Q1T3 -> Q1T1 I can't verify it is
really in T1.
