Err, maybe this drives doesn't use a reel? The takeup reel has rubber around the hub and a solid plastic disc toward the rear. Do I just slip the end of the tape under itself and the rubber surface does the rest? The oldest storage medium I've worked with is a 5 1/4" floppy disk... =] -- Anders
