#x27;t realize until years into the 1G era that 1G is backwards compatible TWO generations, not the usual one. And the switch seems to be happy to speak 10 Mb half duplex, nice. I'm running into issues with switches not supporting 10 / 100 Mbps management interfaces for other equipment.

remember any off hand. Maybe something modular that has optional add-in cards. But I can't think of any fixed configuration switches with AUI / BNC. -- Grant. . . . unix || die

e looking to move them. Send me an email. I've recently acquired things to do T1 / DSX-1 between multiple machines at home. I'd /like/ to do the TelCo side of that too, for at least one loop. But it seems as if the equipment to do that is even more specialized. -- Grant. . . . unix || die

s I misread things. My understanding is that Gigabit Ethernet (and beyond) only supports full duplex. Maybe I'm mis-remembering or thinking about what is actually produced vs theoretical / lab experiments. Similarly, I know someone that has 100 Mbps Token Ring, a.k.a. High Speed Token Ring (HSTR) equipment for their mainframe. And 1 Gigabit Token Ring was designed in the lab but never actualized. -- Grant. . . . unix || die
